My names Kathryn but most people call me Kat :)

Thank you very much for stopping by my slice of the internet. I’m a 23 year old Horticulturalist with a Cert III in Horticulture. I am also currently studying a Diploma in Landscape Design.

Garden design has been a combination of my passion for drawing and my passion for plants. I now want to be able to share those passions with you. I’d love to create peaceful spaces that bring people joy.

I want to encourage you to love Indigenous and Endemic plant species as I have learnt over the years. You will soon see the large range of species to choose from, the sheer versatility and resilience of each species that has developed over hundreds of years to perform amazingly in the right conditions. The colours and textures to experiment with and the efficiency of these plants when they’re planted wisely and cared for by loving educated land owners.

I’d love to create beautiful we’ll integrated gardens for those passionate about their space. When you can see the potential but may not have the time or access to the information and materials that it takes to design a well thought out garden. One that takes into mind not just your day to day activities but,  how the garden itself will affect the landscape not just upon installation but for the future too. Creating zones for different areas of the garden, whether it’s a garden intended for growing produce to eat and enjoy straight from the plant. Or a less stress more easy breezy space, one that helps blend the lined between your journey to and from your home. Paths that invite you out, plantings that give you privacy and provide habitat for the local fauna to enjoy.

I want to create a space you want to be in, even if its just enjoying a glance at the rustling grasses or the singing and dancing of the birds enjoying the habitat you’ve created for them. Let me help make your dream garden design a reality.
